Innovative control systems for more compact and performing electronic boards | |||
| Dealing with the progressive miniaturization of electronic components is a demanding task for manufacturers: up to the challenge, Smitec has introduced new inspection tools of electronic boards in its production plants. | |||
| First of all, a high-tech X-RAY machine allows to inspect details of the welding connections that are not visible to the naked eye. With this system, the operator acquires in a few seconds an extremely accurate and defined image of even the most critical details to be evaluated. Thanks to the implementation of BGA and QFN components - which can only be inspected by X-rays - the electronic boards become more performing and more compact. | |||
 | The X-Ray digital image system is based on the concept of “Highly dynamic radioscopy”, which allows to perfect inspections at high processing speed and to produce a live image with high contrast resolution. | ||
| An Automatic Optical Inspection system has also been incorporated in Smitec quality control process: high-speed HD cameras reconstruct 3D images of each individual component mounted on the electronic board, and evaluate its correctness, alignment and welding quality. AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) ensures a constant level of reliability of the inspection over time, resulting in compliance with high quality standards. | |||
| The AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) system offers high-speed, reliable inspection performance to detect given electronic board non-conformities. With high resolution cameras up to 12Mpixels, it performs multi-angle scans to return an extremely accurate 3D image. |  | ||
